Semin Scores From WAY Downtown

In a match-up of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, the Washington Capitals defeated the Boston Bruins 4-3 in overtime this past Saturday. Maybe that’s not all that memorable for a regular season game, but Alexander Semin’s 80-foot game ending goal was certainly something a little out of the ordinary. And worthy of post. Fired from outside the offensive zone, Boston goalie Tim Thomas summoned his inner Dan Cloutier and allowed the puck to slip into the net.
